Two Paws Up!

two-paws-up

Woot! I have been given this award by the lovely Birdpress, whom I enjoy immensely! Like her, I am tempted to just hand this out to everyone on my blogroll, but agree that would be too easy. Her numerology idea to figure out how many recipients to pic is pretty nifty:

To calculate your numerology number:
Suppose your birth date was January 1, 2009
Add the numbers in your birth date like this:
โ€ข January 1, 2009 = 01/01/2009
โ€ข 01/01/2009 = 0+1+0+1+2+0+0+9 = 13
โ€ข 13 = 1+3 = 4

However, it gave me a three. And while I cannot claim to be a numerology expert, some other method eons ago came up with a four. Since it seemed to make plenty of personality-associated sense at the time, and I’m all about handing out more rather than less good tidings, I will choose four awesome recipients to proudly display their own two paws up award.

Peter Parkour at Hate and Anger

Romi

I would also award one to Joan Harvest and my bestie Talea, but they were awarded along with me! I figure it’s best to spread the love further, hehe.

Oh, and since technically I do share this blog with Josh, I’m just going to go ahead and slather an extra bit of love over his other blog as well ๐Ÿ˜‰

Peace out! I’ve got more shit to knit!

I’m a 9 – is that a good thing? (If you need more shit to knit with, we have plenty at the Gimcrack. do you want fresh, dried or deodorised?)

Hi Sweetie!!! I am back to blogging. Thanks for the award. That is wicked cool!
I have to do that number thing. I love “”‘I have shit to knit”””. I think I will go into the local yarn store tomorrow and say that. It sounds so cool.

Girl, first- congrats on the award! Second, have I got something unique for you to knit. I need your email. I’m going to scour around here and see if I can find it – otherwise, can you email me so I can send you the pattern picture?

@ Romi: You’re welcome! What about those freak cats with the giant thumbs? Those are pretty cool…

@ Ginny: I love you like Nikki Sixx loves Tommy Lee! Which may not be that right either, considering how many times those two have been arrested. ๐Ÿ˜‰

@ NurseMyra: I don’t remember what the various numbers mean, except obviously a 4 means you’re cool as shit ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’m going to assume a 9 means the same. And if you have any shit in the ‘sanitized yarn’ variety, send it my way ๐Ÿ˜›

@ Joan: I’m so glad you’re back! And yes, I would LOVE to know that you walked into a store and proudly proclaimed “I got shit to knit!” If you’re hunting for needles as well, I would suggest picking up a tiny set so you can go “I’m in the mood for some number two’s! Hahahaha!” You’d totally rock it.

    @ Luvmoons: Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

@ JavaQueen: That was hilarious, thanks for sending it!

@ JavaJunkee: You’re welcome, you totally deserve it!

@ Birdpress: Ha, I’m starting to think I could ๐Ÿ˜›

Wouldn’t you know, I score a sweet award, and I’m late to the ceremony. Sorry. A bit behind on my reading. ๐Ÿ˜• Thank you so very much, Em. And congrats to you and all the other fine folk you passed it on to.

Congrats. Paws are cool. I have to agree with Joan that ‘shit to knit’ is quite catchy. I hope she tells about what happens when she says that at the yarn store….

Oh shit–mine is 13! No wonder I’ve always been so unlucky (particularly with women)! Actually, I don’t believe in numerology (in fact, I always call 13 a lucky number, just to defy superstition), or astrology (though the traits of an Aries, as listed in Wikipedia, do uncannily fit me). But I definitely believe in the Enneagram! If you’ve never tried it, get this book: “Discovering Your Personality Type”, by Don Richard Ruso and Russ Hudson (ISBN 0-618-21903-x). Don’t look at the personality-type descriptions, until you’ve taken the test, at the beginning of the book! My type fits me, to a tee–yours probably will, too!
