Okay, so I’ve got my mitts in the knitty jar, and the decoupaging as of late. But if I’m running an online craft store, I’ve got to be able to fill the shelves, and frankly knitting takes a lot of time. I can knit on the subway, but when I’m at home, I like to keep my hands busy with super productivity. Lo and behold, I wander in to jewelery and find my niche.
The scarves will keep coming, cause I can’t arrange beads on the commute to work and I just seriously can’t stop buying yarn, but now you can expect all kinds of fun additions. Peep these, yo:
How fab! And raspberrykoala.com is coming along super well, so they’ll be available pretty soon. May is working as we speak! Paypal even sends out invoices for you. My super anal retentive side is looooving the free organization.
Anyways, the new goal is to make a pair a day and post a pic! Or maybe not a pair of earrings everyday, but maybe a bracelet here and there, or a pic of the decorative bowls i’m making or whatever I’m knitting that day. But daily progress! It’ll keep me motivated 😀

The earrings are great and probably quick to make. My daughter manages a high end jewelry store on Martha’s Vineyard and her bosses are taking her to Puerto Rico in November just to roam the beaches to find sea glass to make jewelry out of. Evidently Puerto Rico is known for it’s sea glass lying on the beaches.
A lot of people are into recycled and organic stuff so you might think about that. Bracelets made out of hemp and wooden beads etc.
Good Luck!!

Very cool. You seem to have picked that up fast! Do you know how to make fused glass? I have thought about trying that. Just a suggestion. 🙂

Hello, I stumbled on your site from Josh’s site, which I found on Sundry’s site (you still following me?) Anyway, I love, love, love your jewelry and scarfs. You can count me in to purchase some stuff when the site opens. (Plus I just have to help you save money to be with your one true love- I mean how much more disguishingly romantic can you guys get before one of you hops the border?!?) Enough commenting, back to lurking : )

Work it girl! The earrings are really pretty. Have you done this for a long time? What a major accomplishment to get your own business set up. I’m wishing you all the luck on your new venture. Love the name too- very cute!

@ Joan: They are quick to make, so I want to at least churn out a couple pairs a week. I think I can swing it. I want those shelves stocked when the site goes live! And I think the organic stuff would be a fab idea, good thing Toronto is organic friendly.
@ Birdpress: I do not know how to make fused glass! But that sounds like fun, I should look through some tutorials and see if I can whip a few things up.
@ Stephanie: Haha, your husband is free to come on over for a read, it is half a dudes blog too! 😛 And it is a sweet spot for the holiday shopping, start elbowing those ribcages now, hahah!
@ Emily: Hey thanks for stopping by! The site is going to be up pretty soon, probably within a couple of weeks. But if you do see anything you like, feel free to drop me a line at raspberrykoala@hotmail.com and I can just send you a paypal link. That’s what I did with Ginny when she bought her scarf, and I am just amazed at how easy it goes!
@ Javaqueen: Thanks, I’m all over anything artsy or crafty or anything with colours. I did the makeup thing for a while, but everyone and their mother is a makeup artist in Toronto, so it didn’t really fly. Plus I wasn’t ambitious enough, ’cause it was all “Whatever, I have a decent apartment, it’s good enough. Nobody booked me today? Okay, I’ll wait for tomorrow.” Now, it’s like “okay, go, there’s no other option” so I’m hyper motivated!
